Day 2 Friday April 17th

Day 2 under our belts. Aiden had his first real chemotherapy today and everything went better then planned. Yesterday consisted of a spinal tap and bone marrow along with an evening surgery to put in a VAD. And thank GOD for the VAD, no more pokes in the arms etc. So much better for all of us.

Aiden was tired, however purked up at the end of the night. We all had a good play with his new remote controlled spider, scaring all the nurses in sight. No more chemo for 6 sleeps, however the steriods come every day which result in huge behavioral changes etc.

Until next time... thank you for all the emails, texts, love and prayers.

xoxo

  12. Hi Aiden. I have been telling Callum and Owen that you are in Vancouver getting better at the hospital. They have a lot of questions about Leukemia so you will have to teach them someday. I told them you are playing lots of DS and they wanted to know which games. They love playing DS. It must be what little boys like to do! They also like joking around though and wanted me to send you a joke....
    Knock Knock
    Who's there?
    Boo
    Boo Who?
    Don't Cry it's only a joke.

Hope you had a good day buddy!
    Callum & Owen

  13. Hey Aiden; Everyone was thinking about you at Total E'clips. We are all sending our love. Remember you came into the spa and wanted your toes painted blue? Well the color we used was called 'Berry Blue". All of the girls wanted to rename it to 'Aiden" blue, so now if anyone wants blue toes they have Aiden blue on them! We thought that you would think that was so funny!! See you soon big guy! Love Grandma Linda

  14. Hi Aiden! We just found out that you are in Vancouver! I hope that it is bright and sunny - We hope that you are feeling WAY better! Remember Richelle? Well, she graduated this year - she plans to stay in Kelowna for a while, she is going to college and working full time, and she is still involved with her irish dancing...she has moved up the ranks in her dancing - now a championship dancer - there is a dance competition in November in Edmonton - if she wins, she may be going to the National or the Worlds competition down in the united states next year! We miss you and your family VERY much - the neighborhood just isn't the same without you! I will visit your blog often to get updates, as well as stay in touch with your mom...keep your bright smile, smiling! Lots of love, Colette, Blaise and Richelle xxoo
